Ushers

Wayne Dellinger is the Chair of the Usher Committee and annually schedules individuals to usher for the 11 AM Worship Services with teams serving on a monthly basis. Some may choose to serve several months during the year. Ushers duties include greeting worshipers prior to the service, handing bulletins to worshipers, seating worshipers, receiving the offering, and occasionally other errands or duties that may arise on a given Sunday morning. Seven ushers are needed for each 11 AM Service including one for the balcony.

11 AM also has a Child Usher, sometimes the Acolyte, but not necessarily, who collects the offering of the children who come forward for the Children’s Sermon. This offering is presented to the Pastor as the other seven ushers present their offering.

8:45 AM Ushers are not scheduled. At 8:45 AM worship the Pastor asks for two volunteer ushers to collect the offering. There is never an issue with two people volunteering for this responsibility.
