Missions

Whether sponsoring missionaries and missions
throughout the world or sending short term
missionaries for two week trips, First Church reaches
out to the world in its missionary efforts.

Just by contributing to the church, a portion of your gifts are sent to pre-selected local and world missions. Other seasonal appeals include disaster relief, world hunger and devastation as it occurs. Adults often participate in two week, short term, missions trips with the church doing everything possible to sponsor your mission. Our Youth participate in Carolina Cross Connection, a one week building team. The Helping Hand Fund offers one time assistance with home needs and the Love Labor Corp are a group of volunteers that regularly do house repairs, build handicapped ramps or meet the needs of individuals that cannot be otherwise afforded.

Missions Opportunities A portion of every contribution to First Church is shared with pre-selected local and world missions. At times we have specific appeals and fund raisers for particular missions we support. We are also sponsoring agencies in several missions that work continually in many areas of Christian mission.
